You are the Main Duty bearers in Education – GES Director tells Teachers, Students

Jane Sabina Obeng, the Upper East Regional Director for Education, has called on teachers and students to work very hard because they are the two main duty bearers in the educational context.

She challenged teachers to thoroughly research into their respective subject areas since we are now in an era of explosion of knowledge, prepare adequate teaching notes, spend quality time with the students using various methodologies including remediation sessions for the weaker students and these will help achieve quality acadamic performance in the region and the country at large.

Speaking at the 25th anniversary celebration of Gowrie Senior High/Technical School at Gowrie in the Bongo district of the Upper East Region, Mrs. Obeng also challenged students to eschew laziness and settle down to their books instead of complaining of quality and quantity of food, management, the teachers and other issues at the expense of their books which should be their prime aim in the school.
