The Presidential nominee of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says President John Mahama cannot teach him [Nana Addo] any Lesson in patriotism.

Following series of criticisms by the opposition NPP and some Ghanaian business owners that the Ghanain economy is in crisis, President John Mahama last week defended his government’s management of the economy, claiming the nation’s economy has become very resilient under his watch sought to suggest his critics are patriotic.

But in a quick rebuttal when he took his turn at his party’s manifesto launch in Accra Sunday October 9, Nana Addo was categorical his in-depth knowledge of the economy, his patriotism and contributions to the development of Ghana cannot be questioned by the president.

He said unless President Mahama was in a different Ghana, his understanding of the economy doing well was problematic because the high level of hardship as being trumpeted by the masses of Ghanaians, collapsed businesses due to the energy crisis and high level of unemployment should have been enough worries for the president that  the economy is in crisis.

Nana Addo said he will restore the economy if Ghanaian electorate give him and the NPP their votes come December 7 as he promised his passion to lead a corruption-free Ghana.
