Mahama Ayariga denies his involvement in Aisha’s sex videos

The Member of Parliament for Bawku Central Constituency in the Upper East Region and former minister for Environment, Science Technology in the erstwhile NDC administration, has discredited sex videos circulating on the social media suggesting he was the male actor in those videos.

The videos have widely been circulated and rumours are that, the features of male actor in those sex videos are that of Mr. Ayariga with Aisha Huang, the Chinese illegal miner (galamsey) kingpin.

Aisha who is currently in custody for illegal mining is allegedly circulating sex videos involving herself and some highly placed Ghanaian officials mainly politicians, who allegedly gave her protection to continue with her illicit mining activities.

It is unclear which Ghanaian officials are involved in the act but, rumours directing at the Ghanaian law maker compelled him to issue a statement Friday May 12, vehemently denying his involvement in the alleged sex scandal.

Statement by Mahama Ayariga is below:

“I have become aware of the circulation of a video on social media purportedly showing me engaged in a sexual intercourse with a lady of Asian origin.

“Those involved in this dastardly and barbaric act seems to suggest that I provided the lady and her company with a licence to engage in “galamsay” mining during my tenure as the Minister of Environment, Science Technology and Innovation in exchange of sexual favors,” the statement on his Facebook wall said.

It added: “I categorically deny the mindless suggestion that I am the male actor in the video and all the inferences it draws. Those who orchestrated this agenda and promoted it have only succeeded in giving us a glimpse of the crude and the unfulfilled lives they live.

“I want to assure the people Bawku and Ghanaians that I am grateful and respect the opportunity they have given me to serve as their Member of Parliament and the different portfolios I was privileged to work. The thought that I serve at the behest of the people never departs me, it is what informs and drives every decision I make; this will not change”.
