Bimoba Association calls for increased police patrols to check robbery attacks on roads

The incessant armed robbery attacks on the Deningu, Nakpanduri and the Bunkpurugu Walewale roads in the Northern Region have led to a call on security services to beef-up their patrols in the area to curtail the menace.

According to the Bolgatanga Chapter of the Bimoba Youth Association (BIYA), travelers on the affected roads have encountered attacks which in some instances led to loss of lives.

At an annual get-together of Bimoba’s society in Bolgatanga, chairman of BIYA, Dubilk Kwame called on security services in the Upper East and Northern Regions to beef-up patrols on the said roads towards ending armed robbery attacks.

He said “Our humble appeal as an association goes to the Upper East Regional and the Northern Regional Police command for security boost-up on the said roads that link the Bimoba area to the Upper East and Northern Regions.”

On his part, an elder of the association, Peter Yuninbe Larry entreated Bimobas and neighboring tribes to embrace peace towards ensuring development in the area.
