Double track teachers appeal to gov’t over non-payment of salaries

It would be recalled that the Ghana Education Service recruited some new teachers in November 2018 for the double track system.

These teachers according to the Ghana Education were to teach track gold of the double track students. Upon assumption of duty , barely four months now their salaries are not being paid by government.

The most worrying thing is that, some of these teachers were not posted to the place of their choice. For instance, some were posted from Ashanti Region to Greater Accra region, others from Brong Ahafo region to Greater Accra and vice versa across the length and breadth of the country.

Despite several challenges endured by these newly recruited teachers such as accommodation and transportation challenges making life very unbearable and difficult for them, these teachers after teaching for about four months now have not received their staff IDs, biometric registration not talk of their salaries.

This according to most of the teachers has become a major impediment to the work and making them less efficient. This is because they are unable to attend classes or school on regular basis

In fact, the most worrying aspect of it all, is the lack of Communication and information on the part of Ghana education service to them.

We are therefore appealing to the Government, Ministry of Education, and the Ghana Education service to do the needful.
we believe strongly in the competency of the government and hope that this issue will be treated with all the seriousness it deserves.

Double Track Teachers are starving……
Double Track Teachers are hungry. …..
Double Track Teachers need attention…..

Double Track Teachers need to be paid.
