The Vice Presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has taken her campaign visit to the Upper East Region with a call on the electorate not allow political parties and individual politicians to buy their conscience with money.
Brigitte Dzogbenuku told supporters and the constituents of the party at Bongo in the Bongo Constituency to choose the PPP as the next party to govern Ghana by rallying behind Dr Papa Kwesi Ndoum, the PPP’s presidential nominee for a change that will transform their life.
“You are awake and you know you want development here in Bongo and in the whole of Ghana, you know you want development. So it’s time for a change and that change is only known as the PPP. They know where we are and so when we come and visit and they see our support, they also come and when they come, they try to change your minds but your mind cannot be changed with money. Your minds should not be changed with Ghȼ 2, Ghȼ 5, Ghȼ 10 because you will take that money and you will spend it and your life will remain the same. You will take that money and you will spend it and your roads will remain the same, you will take that money and you will spend it and you will have no jobs in the future, you will take that money and your health will be poor, you will take that money and it will still be difficult for you to go to school. So when they come and they say you are wasting your votes, tell them no, you are voting for a change. We don’t want to vote again and our roads will remain the same, we don’t want to vote and will have no jobs to do”, she said.
The PPP is tearing into the strongholds of the NPP and NDC in some constituencies in the Upper East Region especially in the Navrongo and Bongo constituencies with formidable parliamentary candidates.
