Bawumia joins late Agyarko’s wife for health walk


Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia this morning, joined the Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary Candidate, Lydia Seyram Alhassan as well as supporters to embark on a sensitisation health walk.

The Vice President used the occasion to thank the NPP delegates in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency for supporting Lydia Seyram Alhassan in her quest to become the Member of Parliament for the area; and further urged them to press-on for victory in the impending constituency bye election.

He indicated on his facebook wall; “I expressed my profound gratitude to the constituents for massively endorsing the candidature of Madam Lydia and urged them to vote for her on 31st January, 2019 to continue the good works of the late Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.”

Following the death of the former MP for the area, Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, on November 21, 2018, having battled a prolonged illness, the seat became vacant, necessitating the bye election.

Lydia Seyram Alhassan, the NPP’s candidate for the bye election, is a wife to the Late Agyarko; former MP for the area.
